"Excellence in Childcare"
Create. Explore. Imagine. Dream
Infants- 3 months - 1 yr
Our small and cozy infant area provides a 3 infant to 1 teacher ratio, with a heavy focus on sensory and gross motor development. We work with your infant to help him/her recognize self, and experience the world around him/her. The teachers focus on tummy time, as well as helping your child learn to roll, crawl and walk! The infants are allowed to go outside in the centers play yard, and also go on walks. Our staff creates a weekly curriculum that follows a theme to keep your infant busy, and engaged. Sensory play as well as art is introduced in this group, as well as some color/letter/number/shape recognition. This is an on-demand classroom, so we will do things similarly to how you do them at home to help keep things consistent.
Toddler 1 and Toddler 2 classrooms:
*Two separate classrooms with similar schedules
Toddler 1 Room: 1-2 yrs
Toddler 2 Room: 2-3 yrs
Each classroom follows a set daily schedule to keep things routine for your child. In the morning we have a delicious healthy breakfast, or a morning snack planned by our center nutritionist, Mrs. Maria! After we eat, we have an active circle time followed by educational activities. These activities are pulled from a curriculum created weekly by the staff. The activities touch on subjects like math, science, art, literacy and sensory play. After circle and activities, outside play follows. Outside play is in our newly remodeled yard space, or we walk with the students to a local park!
Lunch for the center is about 11:30, then nap follows. Nap time spans from about 12:00-2:00pm.
The afternoon is filled with fun and excitement as well! Once we wake up from nap, the classrooms have a second healthy snack. The toddlers practice tooth brushing after snack time in the afternoon. Once that's complete, the students break to circle and activity time! A new set of activities is introduced in the afternoon to keep the students excited and interested in learning!
The staff sprinkles in free play throughout the day at scheduled times to give the students the opportunity to play freely with each other, and explore the different types of play, as well as different toys spread out throughout the room. Materials in the classroom are changed and rotated out over time to keep the students interested and having fun!
Preschool - 3 Yrs old - 5 Yrs old
The preschool classroom also follows a consistent daily schedule. The morning
begins with a healthy breakfast or morning snack planned by our center
nutritionist Mrs. Maria. From there, our preschoolers have a busy and fun
filled day! The group moves to circle area to begin the educational portion of
the day. In circle, we read our story of the day, we review numbers, letters, shapes,
colors, the days of the week and months of the year. Our students have already learned
to spell their names by the time they make it into preschool, so we review and also discuss
last names and where our students live. All concepts are introduced in a way that
provokes questions and thinking from our group!
After circle time, the preschool breaks into activities. These activities are pulled from a curriculum that the staff research and create weekly. They include subjects like math, social studies, science, literacy, and art. All concepts are introduced to the group in our variety of different areas within the classroom. Once activities are completed, the group has outside free play!
Lunch is served at 11:30, and nap time follows after. Children are not required to sleep, so whoever decides not to is provided with a quiet activity to do on his/her mat instead.
The rest of the afternoon schedule mirrors much of the morning schedule. New activities are introduced for the afternoon, as well as a healthy and delicious snack provided by Mrs. Maria! After snack in the afternoon, the preschoolers practice brushing their teeth!
The preschool classroom is a very hands on group, so the staff always encourages parents to participate whenever possible. We celebrate birthdays and holidays with activities and parties for the kids which parents are always invited to attend!
